Human Resources Development & Counseling Network

“Where no counsel is, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors, there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14)

The Human Resource Development & Counseling Network was incorporated in March 2003 as a non-denominational, non-profit human service agency. The network evolved from the community service program of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. The Human Resource Development & Counseling Network Inc. ministers to individuals in need of social, emotional, or economic assistance. The HRDC networks with Church and community providers in order to rehabilitate/restore a person to wholeness. The HDRC is located in the Illinois Medical District and has served persons of all racial and socio/economic backgrounds. Network services include:

· Job and career counseling, training, guidance, referral and placement

· Identify training / educational opportunities through local providers

· Serve as case manager for clients and provide transportation for appointments

· Provide initial intake assessment to clients in the areas of substance abuse and mental health

· Provide in-house counseling in career, marital family counseling

The HRDC maintains an electronic database of resources and client specific information in order to ensure post referral linkage to appropriate services.
